EZVIZ, a global smart home security brand, is the consumer and residentially-focused subsidiary of Hikvision. EZVIZ creates a safe, convenient and smart life for users through its intelligent devices, cloud-based platform, and AI technology. The innovative products and services from EZVIZ can be applied to homes, workplaces, stores, schools, etc. EZVIZ empowers partners to share our unique cloud services and build a thriving IoT ecosystem together.

For EZVIZ, I work as the Creative Director and lead the creative direction of the brand globally. I work with cross-functional teams internationally to ensure brand messages are consistent through both online/offline channels as well as across different media and regions. In addition, I am also responsible for developing and ensuring all marketing budgets are on par across all external activities with active growth in the ROI.

To start, we worked on the refinement of EZVIZ's corporate branding identity. My team and I worked with international offices across the globe to set up the guideline as well as the best-use scenarios to ensure the brand message is consistent across all mediums.

We built the overall system centered around the core brand value - Safety, Positivity, Family Oriented, with Easy Smart Home Solution. The color variation is clean, bright, and vibrant to showcase the brand's energy, the content design is rigid in a user-friendly way to ensure the smoothness of the customers' journey.

The final system is currently being utilized for all EZVIZ offices globally from logos ( Primary, secondary, social media & distributors ), packaging, marketing guidelines, stationery designs to digital assets.

Digital Design is a term that is more relevant now than ever before. As the Creative Director of EZVIZ, I am accountable for working with cross-functional teams across continents to ensure high-performing designs are aligned with EZVIZ's branding while the contents are properly localized and targetted according to each channel's unique needs. I also work with integration partners such as Amazon Alexa and Google assistant in highlighting the features of the cross-functional products with branded consumer-facing marketing campaigns.

As EZVIZ's business is eCommerce centric, I also worked with the web team to truly understand the prevailing trends in web aesthetics, while stress on accessibility and ease of use to ensure the layout of the website fits the brand and the overall user experience is smooth and efficient across different platforms.

Moreover, a smart product is nothing without an app. My team and I first dived into the research combing the aspects of psychology, business, marketing, and technology, we then applied the metric-driven results as the guideline towards our EZVIZ App.

We not only focus on the journey that the users take and how our app is structured to facilitate the journey, but we also made sure that the overall visual aspect is a vibrant reflection of our branding.

In addition, Amazon is one of our major partners that have been with us since day one. From Amazon's brand store, product listings to A+ content design, I lead the overall brand presence on Amazon to ensure the consistent overall customer experience.

As a consumer-facing brand, we pay serious attention to all social platforms. With the ever-changing market, it is important for us to directly reach our customers both in brand expansion as well as respond to customers' necessary needs and forward it to the appropriate departments so they can receive the help they need promptly.

As a consumer-facing brand with different products, EZVIZ needs to utilize motion graphics and videos as mediums to help our consumers understand our brand.

Besides the main FAB ( Features and Benefits ) videos and tutorial videos for every product, I also overlook the production of special promo video as well as live production commercials.

With the rapid change and fierce competition in the market, EZVIZ needs to take every opportunity to showcase itself to the general public in order to increase customer base as well as brand recognition. I work with cross-functional teams to ensure the visual aspects of the show are on par with EZVIZ's brand image while each customer journey through the booths is a seamless experience. I also work hand in hand with external teams from our integration partners such as Amazon Alexa and Google Assistant to push out unique branded content and messages through marketing campaign collaboration tailored per each event.

Besides the general roadshows with different vendor partners, CES ( Consumer Electronics Show ) is our annual exhibition to the general public while ISC West ( International Security Conference & Exposition ) is where we show our technology to the people in the industry.
